Investigation about the current situation on the development of the producer’s extended responsibility system and the research about governance mechanism in China’s electrical industry


In order to investigate the current situation on the status of the EPR implementation and explore the effective industry governance mechanism in Chinese electrical industry, the team, which made up with four people, did around the theme “Investigation about the current situation on the development of the producer’s extended responsibility system and the research about governance mechanism in China’s electrical industry” and spent five months in field research in the public and student groups on Nankai district of Tian Jin, green supply chain center in Tian jin, Tianjin Ziya circular economy industry zone, Tianjin TEDA Low Carbon Economy Promotion Center and GEM Limited company and so on.

In the process of research, the team designed the questionnaire about recycling of wastes, which requiring reliable feedback from public opinions. They have a thorough investigation of government units and enterprise, which collecting rich first-hand information. According to the comprehensive analysis about the present situation on the implementation of EPR and the problems existing in the electrical industry, they summarized two models about how to carry out EPR.

The investigation eventually formed a research report about 1.5 million words and 9 papers. They proposed some feasible suggestions for consumers, government and enterprises. The research report was submitted to the relevant government departments to review and the academic achievement intended to submit to academic peer to review. We hope the effective implementation of EPR in China’s electrical industry will be promoted by Chinese political and academic circles together.
