The Photorefractive Photonics 2017 was successfully held in Qingdao (Shandong Province) from July 17th to 20th. The event was co-hosted by Nankai University and Qingdao University.
More than 60 guests from 31 institutions and 12 countries attended the meeting. During the event, the participants delivered 14 invited talks and 22 oral presentations and presented 23 reports.
The Photorefractive Photonics 2017 inherited the characteristics of the International Conference on Photorefractive Effects, Materials, and Applications. The event has been held once every two years since 1987 and is the most influential international conference in the field of Photorefractive Photonics. It provides a collaboration platform for the specialized researchers, positively promotes the development of Photorefractive Photonics in China, and enhances the international influence of Nankai University.
Nankai University organized the conference for the first time in 2005. This year, the conference came back to China after a 12-year absence. The next Photorefractive Photonics will be held in France.
