School of Literature’s Department of Oriental Art held the “Graduates Art Exhibition”
May 13th – 22nd, School of Literature’s Department of Oriental Art held the “2016 Graduates Art Exhibition”. Nearly 60 art works in traditional Chinese style painted by 8 graduates majoring in art were displayed. The title of the exhibition was “End 8” (Wei Ba), which means that the eight students are going to graduate soon.
The exhibition combined a variety of traditional Chinese styles and painting methods, including figure painting, landscapes painting, flowers and birds painting, line-drawings, freehand brushwork, and fine brushwork. It aimed at promoting traditional Chinese painting among the students, as well as raising the humanistic and artistic level of Nankai University. The exhibition embodied the features of a comprehensive university: it was not only visited by the eight students’ professors and classmates, but it also attracted lots of teachers and students from other colleges and schools.
