ACIC lasted for nearly half a year, and Li Jiali’s performances have been outstanding during every session. She won the second prize of the Tianjin Session, entering the regional contest, and then she was awarded the second prize of the Northern China Session, entering the national team contest. She showed the world her strong English base and her high-quality translations.
After winning the National Finals’ prize, Li Jiali said: “The national professional contest did not only improve my interpreting skills, information processing skills, and improvisational ability, I also met many outstanding talents in foreign languages, who are now my friends.” Li Jiali also expressed her sincere gratitude towards the College’s guiding team. “The teachers arranged group meetings every week. They prepared various topics and simulations, using different ways of teaching. This is the first time I experience a professional contest. I made great progresses and learnt a lot.”
ACIC, established in 2010, aims at promoting the foundation of translation studies and the development of the language service industry. The 5th “ACIC” attracted 1814 contestants from 439 Chinese universities, covering more than 20 cities and provinces.
