June 9th, Hong Kong College Students Internship Delegation (36 members in total) visited Nankai University. Huining Zhang, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the United Front Department of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee participated in the event with the delegation. The head of Nankai University’s Office for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs attended the meeting.
The head of Nankai University’s Office for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs extended warm welcome to Hong Kong College Students Internship Delegation and introduced Nankai University’s history, alumni resources, international education, and the situation of Hong Kong teachers and students at Nankai University. He also referred to the university’s role in social service in the context of “Double First-Class” construction. He hoped that this visit would strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between Nankai University and universities in Hong Kong SAR.
The delegation expressed sincere gratitude toward Nankai University. The students shared their gains and opinions at school, experience as interns and entrepreneurs and life experience in Tianjin. They also expected to see the development of Tianjin providing a bigger platform for cooperation and exchanges between the two regions.
During the visit, the delegation also learnt about the on-campus landmarks at Nankai University, including Siyuan Hall, Premier Zhou Enlai’s Statue, the House of Jialing, Shiing Shen Chern’s former residence, etc.
