From July 19th to 28th, Nankai University’s Office for International Academic Exchanges organized a summer social practice for international students. There were altogether 15 international students from 12 countries joining the practice team and starting a journey to Zhuanglang County, Gansu Province, Luoyang, Henan Province and Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.
On July 28th, the practice team held a summary meeting in Shenzhen. The international students were invited to share their views, gains and offer useful suggestions to poverty alleviation work. Most students were deeply impressed by China’s poverty alleviation work, the profound history of Luoyang and the amazing “Shenzhen Speed”.
The summer social practice aims to provide a whole picture of the development of the Eastern, Middle and Western parts of China for international students, and to motivate their sense of response in knowing China and serving China. What’s more, the students are encouraged to offer suggestions for China’s development from international perspectives so as to establish correct understanding for China, friendship with China people and affection for China.
