Nankai Students Won the First Prize in the 3rd World Intelligence Conference

From May 17th to 18th, 2019 RoboCup Asia-Pacific Invitation Tournament was opened in Tianjin Airport Sports Center. It was the first time that the tournament was held in Tianjin, which was also an important part of the 3rd World Intelligence Conference. After fierce competition, the team named KameRider, under the instruction of vice professor Jeffrey Too Chuan TAN, made up of undergraduate students of College of Artificial Intelligence and College of Software, won the first prize of SSPL standard platform team and the 3rd prize of OPL standard platform team.

2019 RoboCup Asia-Pacific is the largest, highest-level and most influential international robot competition integrating robot education, artificial intelligence (AI), research and application. Hosted by RoboCup Federation, the tournament has attracted 103 teams from such countries as the US, Italy, Russia, Japan, Malaysia, Iran and China. Nearly 500 contestants participated in the tournament.
