Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the 1st batch of the listed China-US Young Makers Exchange Center. Finally, 16 universities and 2 enterprises such as Nankai University, Peking University, Tsinghua University entered the list.
Nankai University attaches great importance to the application of China-US Young Makers Exchange Center. Vice Chancellor and Vice President Kexin Yang attended the seminar for establishing China-US Young Makers Exchange Center, and explained the philosophy, positioning, approaches and planning of Nankai University in establishing the center.
The listed China-US Young Makers Exchange Center of Nankai University marks the beginning of an internationalized stage for innovation and entrepreneurship. The university has placed the center as an important pivot for “Global Nankai” initiative, and made solid progress towards the reform and international cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship education through a series of brand projects such as China-US Makers Exchange Camp, “the Belt and Road” National Innovation Experience Season and China Tour on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
In Recent years, Nankai University has actively promoted the reform of innovation and Entrepreneurship education, the construction of Group Innovation Space, innovation and entrepreneurship practice, faculty training on innovation and entrepreneurship, and won prizes in China-US Young Makers Competitions, Challenge Cup National Undergraduate Curricular Academic Science and Technology, China College Student' Entrepreneurship Competition, China College Students’ “Internet +”Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, National Conference of Undergraduate on Innovation and Entrepreneurship and forum. Nankai University has successively elected to a several innovation and entrepreneurship bases such as the 1st batch of “National College Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base”.
