On the morning of May 16th, Jianmin Li, alumnus of Nankai University’s Department of International Economics and Trade (class of 1990) reached the peak of the world—the Mount Everest (8,844.43m) from the North slope.
Jianmin Li together with other 10 members reached the top after resting at the Camp One at the height of 7,028 m on May 13. After reaching the top, they headed back to the Advanced Base Camp at the height of 6,500m safely. The team overcame various difficulties and discomforts, and successfully raised the flag of Nankai University on the top of the world.
